Malik Rahim Campaign Moves into High Media Profile!
[New Orleans, Louisiana

The campaign to Elect Malik Rahim to Congress has shifted into a high Media profile in recent days, as the campaign's use of electronic billboards and radio advertisements for began to blanket the Crescent City. And, later today, the Rahim campaign ads will began being seen on a host of cable television networks and programs, including the 137 advertisements on: CNN, MSNBC, CNN's Headline news, the Weather Channel, BET, the Comedy channel , and the Travel Channel networks; along with break-ins during the Colbert and Jon Stewart Shows.

In addition to national and international exposure, the Rahim campaign has bought ads in the Louisiana Weekly and Gambit Weekly, as well as extensive canvassing efforts in several neighborhoods.

During the next few days leading to the Saturday, December 6, 2008, District 2 congressional election, Malik Rahim's name, face, and image will be a mainstay on New Orleans channels and in its publications. The campaign has done this due to the generous assistance of supporters, similar to the historic Obama campaign, with the vast majority of it coming from small donations.

The Malik Rahim campaign has been organizing grassroots support throughout the District since August. Rahim has a history of combining scant resources with vision and the hard work of dedicated volunteers to help founded Common Ground with only $50 from his Algiers home, coordinated the delivery of relief supplies, gut homes, removing debris, and most significantly, open the Common Ground health clinic, which supports returning New Orleans residence at NO charge.

"Change is in the air. Voters of the United States and District 2 elected a Community Organizer to the White House, now we need to elect Malik to Congress. Malik is my hero. He will work diligently for everyone" said campaign volunteer Sylvia Ardis. Given the mandate for change, why would voters choose a Bush-McCain Republican?" asks supporter Jason Neville.
