Groups Say Federal Officials Failing to Monitor, Warn Citizens of Serious Health Risk
Repost - Will
2005-11-17 1:11 PM NEW ORLEANS (November 16, 2005) -- New air tests taken by a non-profit environmental organization show that airborne mold levels in New Orleans pose a serious health risk to residents and workers returning to the devastated city. The tests confirm concerns that federal officials are neglecting a major safety threat affecting thousands of people both indoors and out, according to the Natural Resources Defense Council, which administered the monitoring. CHART, TABLE: CIA European Prison-Torture Planes--What the MSM Won't Tell
Clayton Hallmark
2005-11-15 10:55 PM
QUESTION: WILL CIA AGENTS BE TREATED AS "FOREIGN COMBATANTS" BY FOREIGN COUNTRIES WHEN THEY OPERATE OUTSIDE THE LAW? There is plenty of evidence in the news of illegal (under international and non-US laws) CIA operations. The European Commission JUST ANNOUNCED (Nov. 15) it will NOT investigate published reports that the CIA set up secret jails in Eastern Europe to detain high-profile terrorism suspects. However, it strongly warned against such jails, and various European countries are having their own investigations. News media reported also that the group Human Rights Watch "claims records and other evidence point to POLAND and ROMANIA as countries that allowed their territory to be used by the CIA to jail top suspected al-Qaeda captives." We report that HRW knows that from tracing the movements of CIA planes and WE PROVIDE A LIST OF THE 28 PLANES, 8 SHELL COMPANIES, AND SEVERAL CIA-RELATED COMPANIES. Of course the CIA and the US government deny that secret airlines (illegal under US law), renditions, and torture are part of the CIA's repertoire. (image/jpeg)
Joe Wilson Rips the Bush-Cheney Gang
William Hughes
2005-11-15 10:15 PM
Ex-Ambassador Joe Wilson took the gloves off in a lecture that he gave on Nov. 14, 2005, in Baltimore. He ripped into the “Brownshirts” in the Bush-Cheney Gang; hack columnist, Bob Novak; and the indicted and “cowardly” White House operative, Irv “Scooter” Libby. Wilson speculated that the “outing” of his wife as a CIA agent was done in an attempt to make others “afraid” to speak out about how the country was dragged into the Iraqi war. (image/jpeg)

Animal Rescue New Orleans Needs You Now
USA euthanizes 6 million healthy pets a year
2005-11-11 11:12 PM ANIMAL RESCUERS NEEDED NOW: There are still lots of stray and abandoned animals on the streets in New Orleans and Louisiana. These are the katrina pets that have not been rescued. Katrina animal rescuers need help now, because there are not enough PEOPLE rescuing to save these pets. They need to catch them to save their lives, and to stop breeding creating a feral animal population that would mean there are more homeless animals. Katrina animal rescuers are working to save animals. (But Louisiana public animal control shelters are euthanizing pets that are brought into them, just like all the other animal control shelters throughout the United States. Most of these shelters keep pets for 7 days only, even though the pets are the same as pets who have homes, and most are healthy pets.) The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way it treats its animals. (text/plain + 1 comment)
