Robert Radujko-Moore, Ph.D.
2006-08-06 4:16 AM Hurricanes Katrina and Rita combined with forecasted levee failures have obliterated your homes, your records, broken apart your families, scattered you across the country, and the United States of America has not provided you with relief, safety, security, and certainly no recovery. It's abandoning you. Other than that, how was your day? (text/plain)
The Bold-Face of Katrina Immorality
Robert Radujko-Moore, Ph.D.
2006-08-06 4:06 AM Let’s Get Past Diluting the Disaster with Words. Yet Once We Know Who The Enemy Is, It May Be Us The U.S. population is fed a lot of misinformation through radio, TV, newspapers, and the Internet. It’s about language, how things are defined or described. Words seem to equate with national reaction, selectively to inflame or paralyze it.

Eleven (11) Questions Avoided by the Media in Recent Reporting of Department of Defense Vi
reposted
2006-08-05 7:51 AM Recent articles in corporate media examine deception and lying by the Department of Defense relative to the attacks of September 11th 2001. They shed light on an effective cover-up by the 9/11 Commission in its refusal to bring Government deception to the American people by way of their discredited 9/11 Report. Links to these articles follow as do 11 questions which these revelations and NORAD tapes beg to be asked and which must be answered: (text/plain)

"Hail Mary" or THE CRIME OF LEBANON AND PALESTINE
Stephen Lendman
2006-08-05 12:21 AM "If this scenario is possible, why then would US, UK, Israeli, and other Western leaders who see what's going on, be willing to take the risk? Ahmed states what a growing number of knowledgeable observers now believe - that the Western, mainly US, so-called neoliberal imperial freewheeling "free-market" model is failing and may collapse short of a desperate "Hail Mary" military solution to try to save it even though the chance for success at best would be uncertain and in some views unlikely." Kevin Zeese Challenges Rep. Cardin on Israel
William Hughes
2006-08-04 12:14 PM
Kevin Zeese, an Independent candidate for U.S. Senate from Maryland, is shaking up the Establishment. Despite the “unmatched power” the Israel Lobby exerts over our foreign policy, Zeese is challenging Rep. Ben Cardin to speak out about Israel’s “terror military policy” in Occupied Gaza and Lebanon. Cardin, who is also running for the U.S. Senate in MD, submitted a two sentence reply to Zeese. The people of Maryland deserve better! (image/jpeg)

Survey on independent media use and Katrina
Donna Braquet (posted by Christian Roselund)
2006-08-03 6:35 PM Dear Katrina Survivors,
I am a native New Orleanian and currently a librarian at the University of Tennessee. I am researching the impact of information in the lives of Hurricane Katrina survivors. I have created an online survey that should take about 30 minutes to complete and will ask questions about the information you needed, where and how you found it, and how you provided information to others before, during, and after Hurricane Katrina. Israel brutally implements its "Final Solution" on the Arabs?
Fauxlosopher
2006-08-02 11:21 PM What Israel is clearly saying is that it is going to wipe out all opposition to its existance in that region - and so since there are no Arab countries who are not opposed to the existance of the State of Israel - then Israel will have to crush them all!

2006-08-02 6:18 PM Why a war on Lebanon? Why now? A new article by Professor Michel Chossudovsky suggests it's about oil, water and pipeline routes, and offers insight into the war's impending expansion. The U.S. and Israel aren't the only nations with interests in this game. Other players appear to include the U.K., France, and Italy.

Unified New Orleans Plan kicks off
Darwin BondGraham
2006-08-02 5:26 PM It’s unclear just how much the various planning firms that are selected in this process will truly incorporate the needs and desires of the residents represented. But the biggest problem of all with the process thus far is its lack of true democratic participation. With almost half of the city’s population still missing, with renters, public housing residents, and residents of the worst hit neighborhoods distracted by more mundane concerns like returning home, securing employment, a roof over their heads, or cleaning up property that Mayor Nagin will otherwise deem blighted within a month, it would appear that most resident of the Big Easy simply don’t have the resources to participate.
