He was only let free after apologizing to Jefferson Parish Police. Molina’s crime? He called out “what’s up?” to a man that he mistook for a friend. Police cursed at Molina, presuming him to be an illegal immigrant due to his brown skin color. January 27 Stop The War Rally

2007-01-17 1:32 AM Stopping the U.S. War on Iraq is a prerequesite for a just rebuilding of New Orleans. People who support a just rebuilding of New Orleans and an end to the unjust war in Iraq will gather on January 27th in New Orleans in solidarity protests against the war to be held around the nation on this date. The event is being held at the Federal District Court Building because, among other things, this complex houses the local offices of Senator Mary Landrieu and Congressman William Jefferson. The demands of this action include a call on Landrieu and Jefferson to vote against any additional funding for the war. People attending the march are urged to bring signs, chants, friends and, most importantly, themselves.
An open mike will be available for those who wish to address the rally. (text/plain)
