Ann Garrison
2009-05-02 3:53 AM
San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom now aspires to succeed Arnold Schwarzenegger as California's Governor Greenwash II. Newsom recently came out for mega wave energy, meaning Pacific Gas'n Electric wave energy, which is adamantly opposed by environmental activists on California's North Coast, in Mendocino and Humboldt Counties. Newsom is virtually joined at the hip with PG&E, which also relies heavily on natural gas imports from the Gulf Coast, via the Henry Hub. (image/jpeg)

For the Resumtion of the Class Struggle!
pcint
2009-05-01 9:54 PM The economic crisis which has crashed down on society has already had and for a long time will have disastrous consequences for the lives of the masses, as every worker can see in his daily life or her work. The bourgeois economists themselves admit it: they do not know what the causes of the crisis are – satisfying themselves by blaming the greed of the bankers or excessive financial deregulation – and they do not know when it will end and give way to the long-awaited “economic recovery”. The current crisis is the crisis of the capitalist mode of production, incapable of stopping itself, forced to produce always more commodities, at a certain point it comes up against the limits of the market.

Obama Draws Fire from Socialists and Conservatives
Stewart A. Alexander
2009-04-26 2:09 PM Socialists and conservatives alike believe bigger government and heavy spending is not the answer to restructuring the U.S. economy; and even though the ideas of socialists and conservatives are vastly different, both groups are opposing the president on his enormous spending proposals that are lacking any clear plans on how to revive the economy and limit an ocean of future debt for the nation.
