Governor Says In Effect "Shoot The Bastards"
"They have M-16s and they're locked and loaded," Governor Kathleen Blanco said of 300 National Guard troops who landed in New Orleans fresh from duty in Iraq. "These troops know how to shoot and kill, and they are more than willing to do so, and I expect they will." As desperate people without food or water scavenge to feed their families, the clueless governor issues a threat. (image/jpeg + 46 comments)

Hurricane tragedy could have been averted
Many in the big business-controlled media claim that the city of New Orleans was spared by the change of direction of the storm and that things could have been worse. However, had the city taken proper preparations, the loss of life, and the still potential loss of life, would have been averted. (image/jpeg)

Christopher Hitchens Panders to War Parties!
Christopher Hitchens, the scourge of the late Mother Teresa of Calcutta, is at it again! The ex-Lefty has written a rant defending the indefensible - the Iraqi War! His main point: Saddam Hussein was a thug, so therefore the Iraqi war was justified. The Straussian Neocon, however, got it wrong! Under International Law, regime change isn’t a legal cause for a war. This is why Bush and his poodle, Blair, had to “fix” the intelligence around the policy. (image/jpeg + 1 comment)

Katrina and the Neocons' Iraqi War: Wake-up Calls?
Hurricane “Katrina” hit the central Gulf Coast on Aug. 29, 2005, causing devastation. When the Army Corps of Engineers had asked for additional funding to protect the New Orleans region from flooding, the Bush-Cheney Gang said, “No!” Meanwhile, the Neocon-inspired Iraqi War continues to waste hundreds of billions of dollars of our nation’s resources. Isn’t it time for the American people to wake-up and take action to restore the Republic? (image/jpeg)

Vincent Simmons has been fighting for his constitutional rights for 28 years
Vincent Simmons was born on February 17th of 1952. In the year of 1977 this African American man was sentenced to 100 years of hard labor at the Angola prison for a crime he can prove he did not commit. This article gives background information about the case and his efforts to be eventually heard by a jury. (image/jpeg)

Bill O’Reilly Wants to Suppress Abu Ghraib Evidence
The ACLU is fighting in court for the release of all evidence that might tie high level policy makers to the Abu Ghraib torture scandal. The Pentagon said the release of that evidence will “increase the likelihood of violence” against U.S. troops. Fox News’ Chickenhawk, Bill O’Reilly, agrees that it is not only unpatriotic to do so, but that it would “help the jihadists.” He also smeared CBS, NBC and the NY Times for supporting the ACLU’s legal position. Blame Vulture Capitalism, not God, for Pat Robertson!
Religious fundamentalism is one of the evils that is menacing the world. The Rev. Pat Robertson, who wants the U.S. to kill Venezuela's President, Hugo Chavez, is an example of that madness. Another fundamentalist ideology, however, which goes mostly unnoticed, is “Vulture Capitalism!” It is a religion for many fantatics who worship Money as a God. Unchecked “Vulture Capitalism” poses the greatest threat to our planet and humankind. (image/jpeg)

Apologists for Iraqi War Going Bonkers
Ann Coulter is the Madame Defarge of the looney Right. She recently thrust her needle into Cindy Sheehan, accusing her of “engaging in Stalinist agitprop outside of President Bush’s Crawford ranch.” Then, the obviously unstable Robert Novak wrongly labeled supporters of Sheehan’s vigil as “extreme antiwar demonstrators.” As lies about the war are exposed and opposition to it grows, apologists for the Bush-Cheney Gang are collectively going bonkers. Baltimore Shows its Solidarity with Cindy Sheehan!
A rally in solidarity with Cindy Sheehan’s Crawford, Texas’s “Vigil” was held in Baltimore, MD, on August 17, 2005. Sharon Ceci of the “All Peoples Congress,” said, “Sheehan has touched a nerve with people across the country.” Renee Washington told me her daughter is in the US Army, and she prays that she doesn’t go to Iraq. “I didn’t raise her to kill anyone,” she said. Activist Virginia Rodino stated, “The Iraqi War was based on a pack of lies!” (image/jpeg)

        Christopher Hitchens Smears Cindy Sheehan
Cindy Sheehan’s gallant anti-War vigil outside of the ranch of our half-demented President, George W. Bush, Jr., in Crawford Texas, is drawing massive support from around the country. It is also attracting pro-war snakes, like that former “Nation” magazine ranter, Christopher Hitchens. A Brit, who comes across as an insufferable Tory, he accused Sheehan of trying to “ventriloquize the dead” and of spouting off “sinister piffle.” (image/jpeg + 3 comments)

     A-Bombs Remembered: Another View!
Harry Agro, a US Navy Seaman, was a WWII POW of the Japanese for nearly three years. He survived a horrific ordeal on the island of Hokkaido, where he was beaten every day and forced to work on coal ships. The Japanese swore the war would last 100 years! On August 6, 1945, the U.S. dropped an A-bomb on Hiroshima and three days later, one on Nagasaki. Those decisions remains highly controversial. Japan sued for peace on Aug. 14, 1945. (image/jpeg)

World Tribunal on Iraq : Final Declaration of the Jury of Conscience
The World Tribunal on Iraq met in Istanbul from 24-26 June 2005. The principal objective of the WTI is to tell and disseminate the truth about the Iraq War, underscoring the accountability of those responsible and underlining the significance of justice for the Iraqi people. Here is the final declaration of the jury of conscience : (image/jpeg)

George W. Bush & Raffy Palmeiro: Birds of a Feather!
George W. Bush lied us into the Iraqi War, but remains unpunished for his wrongdoing. Meanwhile, on the sports front, Raffy Palmeiro of the Baltimore Orioles has tested positive for steroids and been suspended for ten days. Yet, he told Congress he had never used steroids. Rep. Chris Shays said he was “extremely disappointed” about Palmeiro. If so, what should the response of Congress be to all of Bush’s treachery? Think: Impeachment! (image/jpeg)

The 9/11 Key to Political Transformation
There is now an enormous amount of scholarly evidence and expert testimony that a) clearly demonstrates the official 9/11 story is a sham, and b) supports the millions of New Yorkers who, according to a recent Zogby poll, believe that top US officials "consciously" allowed the attacks to happen and that we desperately need a new investigation now. KARL ROVE, MICHAEL LEDEEN SPIES PROCURED FORGED NIGER DOCUMENTS
Karl Rove's only full-time foreign-policy advisor is Michael Ledeen, a rabid anti-Arab, pro-Israel activist. The FBI is investigating Ledeen for procuring forged documents (shown here) on nonexistent WMD, which George Bush used to justify his war on Iraq. When Joseph Wilson exposed the farce, Rove helped "out" Wilson's CIA wife. Did Ledeen procure the documents for Rove, and how might he have done that? The story includes multinational stool pigeon Rocco Martino, Italian spy Francesco Pazienza, wanted CIA spy Robert Seldon Lady, and Pentagon analyst Larry Franklin, who's under charges of giving US secrets to Israel. http://bellaciao.org/en/article.php3?id_article=7256 (image/jpeg)

Did the Bishops Make "A Devil's Pact" for Anti-Choice Judge?
During the very close 2004 presidential election, the Catholic Bishops did everything but officially endorse the ultra-War Hawk, George W. Bush, Jr. I suspect, but I can’t prove, that “a devil’s pact” was hatched between the clerics and the Bush-Cheney Gang. The clerics would push for Bush’s victory and he would oppose abortions and appoint an anti-choice judge to the Supreme Court at the first opportunity. Is John G. Roberts, Jr. that jurist? (image/jpeg)

George Bush, our “Liar-in-Chief,” is Ignorant of History!
Baltimore’s patriots defeated the invading British forces in the War of 1812-1814, at Fort McHenry. Yesterday, President Bush, ranted at the Dundalk Marine Terminal, across the harbor from the fort, urging the renewal of the draconian Patriot Act. Bush is our “Liar-in-Chief” and he’s ignorant of history. What’s next? A surveillance device implanted in everyone’s head? (image/jpeg)

TREASONGATE: Indictments on the Way
President Bush now says he will fire for convictions, not mere leaks. The consensus of lawyers is that Karl Rove will be indicted by the grand jury now in session in Washington, DC, in the Valerie Plame outing case -- and not for what you think. Special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald appears to have a slam-dunk case under Title 18, Sec. 641, USC (which is NOT about outing a covert agent) just as the DOJ did for leaker Jonathan Randel, who got a year in prison. Karl Rove was abandoned by both of his parents -- the man he called Dad left home, Rove found out "Dad" wasn't his father after all (his aunt and uncle "outed" this at the dinner table), and his mother committed suicide. “The Neocons Have Played U.S. for a Chump!”
It’s bad enough that the slippery Neocons got the U.S. involved in the Iraqi War, now those scoundrels want us to attack Iran! Just the other day, the unindicted war criminal, Henry Kissinger, suggested that we take Iran down, if certain conditions were fulfilled. Thanks to the compelling “Downing St. Memos,” and the splendid work of Think Tanks, like the IRmep, it has become clearer that the conniving Neocons have used the U.S. as a chump! (image/jpeg)
