Please let people know that www.petfinder.com will have many more photographs of pets rescued in New Orleans and Louisiana. Tell evacuees and tell them to phone animal shelters and check pet rescue web sites now to find if their pets have been rescued. Volunteers are needed to feed, keep pets clean, and look after and rescue the animals at Louisiana shelters, and animal charity shelters that are looking after evacuee pets from New Orleans. Keep rescuing, but make sure you record where an animal is found, and that you post that information and a photograph on petfinder.com so that families can check for their family pets. Foster homes are needed and shelters have pets available for adoption. Keep calling George Bush and the federal government to let them know you want the patrols of National Guards and the army to be involved in mandatory rescues of animals. As many people as possible are needed to rescue and care for the animals of Louisiana. They need help now. (image/jpeg)

The Anti-Iraqi War rally in Washington, DC., today, 09/24/05, put on by the “United for Peace and Justice” organization, was a highly-spirited event. The Ellipse was overflowing with protesters and the march around the White House seemed to go on forever. MP, George Galloway, blasted George W. Bush and Tony Blair as “war criminals.” He said that we owe it to the world to make it clear that these “war criminals are not acting in our name!” (image/jpeg)

William Hughes

Cindy Sheehan, and the “Bring Them Home Now Tour,” hit Baltimore City last night. The Shriver auditorium on the Johns Hopkins U. campus was packed to capacity to hear the anti-Iraqi War messages of her and others. Sheehan said, we need an “Opposition Party” and that Congress is mostly made up of cowards, who have given “a liar” and “a maniac,” - George W. Bush - the power to invade Iraq. If Congress doesn’t shape up, she said: “Fire them!” (image/jpeg)

RFK, Jr. Blasts Big Oil & Bush-Cheney Gang
William Hughes
2005-09-21 12:02 AM
The Bush-Cheney Gang gave the store away in the so-called “Energy Bill.” It granted $4 billion in tax breaks to Big Oil, despite the fact that ExxonMobil had profits of $24 billion last year! Now, environmentalists rallying in Washington, D.C., on 09/20/05, suspect that parts of the pristine Arctic Wildlife Refuge will soon be opened up to oil drilling. At the protest, RFK, Jr., labeled George Bush: “The worst environmental president in U.S. history!” (image/jpeg + 1 comment)

No more superdomes
2005-09-17 11:47 PM
Animal welfare charities working in New Orleans and Louisiana to save animals affected by the hurricane, have repeatedly asked Governor Blanco and President Bush's federal agencies to provide more assistance. From the lack of necessary help to the abandoned animals in stuck in people’s homes and starving and dying on the streets of Louisiana, Governor Blanco has shown she does not care about animals, or the families and their pets in the State of Louisiana. They have done nothing despite numerous requests by people asking for them to help. (image/jpeg)
