Leading the Philippine armed revolution astray
Ka Rosa Fahne

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP-Maoist) has spent a tremendous amount of manpower, financial and materials resources in the electoral campaign, in the process forging a tactical alliance with the landlord-bureaucrat capitalist Manuel Villar, the Nacionalista Party--and indirectly with the family of the late fascist puppet dictator Ferdinand Marcos.

The Jena Generation --An interview with Jordan Flaherty
Angola 3 News

Jena was more than a historical moment. I think that the young people from around the US – and especially the south – who traveled to Jena for the mass protests, and who also organized in solidarity in their own community, will continue to lead exciting struggles. I think we will see a Jena Generation. (image/jpeg)
BP asks for ideas

BP is asking the public to submit ideas for how to help stop the oil spill. I think this is perfectly reasonable, and am submitting the following modification of their last ditch "junk shot" option: I am proposing the "CEO shot" option. We duct tape the entire cadre of CEOs and investors of BP into a large, tacky ball, and drop them into the pipe. (image/png)

What are we waiting for? Louisiana cannot expect to survive, playing the Oil and Gas industries' game. New Orleans is flat and compact and perfect for cycling. We have the potential to be a wonderful city for a clean energy future. We must take the lead if we expect the rest of the country and the world to support our continued existence on the slow-motion Mudslide we call home.

Grecia: >¡Lágrimas y sangre para el proletariado!
PCInt.
2010-05-15 2:45 PM
A Christian Perspective on Prisons --An interview with Stan Moody
Angola 3 News

Only as the public becomes aware of the enormous cost of the revolving door of incarceration will they begin to pay attention to what is going on inside and how we might change the dynamic. Corrections has taken full advantage of this denial by essentially saying, “You cannot possibly understand what we are up against.” They have built incarceration into a growth industry that is sapping our national strength and shredding our decency. Greece: Blood and tears for the proletariat!
PCInt
2010-05-13 2:44 PM
In order to resist the policy of blood and tears which the bourgeoisie inflicts on it, the proletariat has no other possibility than the resumption of the class struggle, starting with the rejection of anti-worker measures by the government and the calls for “national solidarity”, and for sacrifices “to defend the fatherland and democracy”. Reverend Rick Warren on Trial, in the Court of Public Opinion
Ann Garrison
2010-05-07 10:48 PM
Rev. Rick Warren, the best known advocate of California's Proposition 8 gay marriage ban, has staked his reputation as an international humanitarian on his alliance with Kagame, and on his Rwandan and Ugandan HIV/AIDS ministries, which are infamous for hijacking PEPFAR, the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, in service to his abstinence-only-until-heterosexual-married -monogamy-for-life agenda. And now Kagame has been sued, in an Oklahoma Court, for guilt in the Rwanda Genocide and the Congo War, which have together cost 7 million African lives.

We have lost a loving, joyful lifelong New Orleanian and important fighter for racial and economic justice. Gloria “Mama Glo” Irving, who was a leader in the right of return struggle in New Orleans, and relentless opponent of the ruling class’ racial and class cleansing agenda following Hurricane Katrina, passed away last week at the age of 75. Let her life be an inspiration for all of us to redouble our efforts AGAINST this racist, capitalist system, and FOR another city, country and world that places meeting human need--not extracting profits through exploitation of workers and nature--as its organizing principle.

Rwandan President Paul Kagame wants a safer Rwanda. . . safer for whom?
Ann Garrison and Godwin Agaba
2010-04-18 2:47 PM
 Rwandan journalist Godwin Agaba writes:
What is clear though is that Paul Kagame, having commanded the forces that he says ended the genocide and helped restore order in chaotic Rwanda, has embarked on a self-destructing campaign. He will stop at nothing to make himself clear and louder to all that Rwanda belongs to him and only he knows what is good for the country. He does not even appear bothered by the idea of ruling the country as if it is some family ranch, because according to what he knows, he is popular, charismatic and knows his country’s history better than anyone else. And who are we to challenge him? What exactly do we know? To him we are rejects who should either shut up or put up with whatever nonsense is being paraded as long as we rise up at the end of the day to toss to the monsieur – only this time, in English! I was a volunteer in the War on Terror and I come from a large family of teachers. A lot of people are trying to do something about the education system. This is a blueprint of science education in America anyone can use to prove how the "education" system trains Americans to depend on imperialism. (image/jpeg)
