KKK initiation rite killing related trail delayed

2010-03-02 7:35 AM The trail against Shane Foster, son of KKK member and accused killer Raymond "Chuck" Foster, has been postponed again. No new trail date has been set. Shane Foster is said to have been of a reduced intelligence for most of his life, following a car accident injury at the age of 4. Shane Foster stands on the charges obstruction of justice.
Raymond Chuck Foster stands accused of second-degree murder with an expected trail to begin April 5, 2010.
Both men are charged in regards to the 2008 murder of Cynthia Lynch during a Sons of Dixie Brotherhood KKK initiation ceremony. Cynthia Lynch is believed by detectives to have attempted to back out of the initiation. (text/plain + 2 comments)

 More news has come forward in Federal investigations of the New Orleans Police Department. According to today's Times-Picayune, Lt. Michael Lohman, a 21-year veteran of the NOPD who was involved in the investigation of the Danziger Bridge shootings but not the incident itself, will be charged in a bill of information. The Picayune notes that "Such a charge usually signals that a defendant is cooperating with the government and thus would represent a major break in the case for federal prosecutors." (image/jpeg)
