On 09/12/05, a rally was held in Washington, D.C., in solidarity with the 5,500 Canadian Media Guild (CMG) members, who have been locked out of their jobs. Linda Foley, President of the TNG-CWA; Larry Cohen of the CWA; and John Sweeney, President of the AFL-CIO, all blasted the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) for their deplorable tactics. On Saturday, August 27, 2005 - 2 days before Katrina hit - Islamic Community Net published a warning here and in other locations about Bush's genocidal plan to concentrate the poor of New Orleans at the Superdome. The article recommended the use of C5 Galaxy troop transport jets to get the people out. No action was taken despite the public warning.
