2005-09-13 11:28 PM ...the Mighty Mos Def has been on a serious roll as of late. He just released a song called 'Dollar Day for New Orleans (Katrina Clap) which is basically a remake of the Juvenile hit song 'Nolia Clap'.... If that's not enough Mos Def saves some of his harshest words for Bono of U2. he questions his love for the ghetto and questions why he isn't here with his Live 8 machine when people really neeed him... THE TRUE STORY OF WILLIAM JEFFERSON
Albert Kada
2005-09-13 10:06 PM ABC forgot to look for real news today and took advantage of an opportunity to scandalize William Jefferson, congressman I guess, with an unnamed source from the military. The military apparently gave information to ABC who then concocted the scandal so let me explain what really happened based on what ABC said and the way the military has been instructed to operate.

Rise up rise up
Oh rise and show your power
Rise up rise up
Everybody dance into the sun
Rise up rise up
It's time for celebration
Rise up rise up
The spirits time has come
Talkin' 'bout the right time to be workin' for peace
Wantin' all the tension in the world to ease
Watch the love run wild in the streets
We want to be free, we want to be free
Talkin' about a new way to talk about changing our names
Talk about building the land of our dreams
This tightrope's gotta learn how to bend
We're makin' new plans
Gonna start it again

Bush's Superdome guilt proved by earlier article
j'accuse
2005-09-13 11:59 AM On Saturday, August 27, 2005 - 2 days before Katrina hit - Islamic Community Net published a warning here and in other locations about Bush's genocidal plan to concentrate the poor of New Orleans at the Superdome. The article recommended the use of C5 Galaxy troop transport jets to get the people out. No action was taken despite the public warning. The article is public evidence that should be used in any investigation of Bush's Katrina atrocities. (text/plain + 1 comment)

The Rich and Their Dogs First!
MAS-Argentina
2005-09-13 7:43 AM In the shipwrecks of other times, there was the slogan: "Women and children first" In the U.S.A., it would be necessary to reformulate that motto and to say: "the rich and their dogs first". The Real Looters of Hurricane Katrina
Nzingha Tyehemba
2005-09-12 3:25 PM The images of survivors of Hurricane Katrina, for the most part images of poor African-Americans, “looting” neighborhood supermarkets and grocery stores exemplify this nation’s fetish with stigmatizing, criminalizing, and dehumanizing black people, even in the midst of a great tragedy.
