A planned war with Iran is also on Cheney’s agenda as a diversion to save himself and George W. Bush from impeachment. As a senior, he would not be made to take the test, but Day confronted the high school principal, Phil Ray, in defense of students younger than himself, and was told that the test was mandated by federal law. Day says he already believed that to be false, since he remembered the test being given only to the kids actually trying to join the military the year before.
