Rallies and Actions against David Duke and neo-Nazis The New Orleans branch of the NAACP is hosting a UNITY RALLY, this Saturday, May 29, 2004, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Treme Center, 900 N. Villere Street, New Orleans, Louisiana. This event is to give an alternative impression to the impression generated by the national conference of right wing groups planned by David Duke and his supporters, scheduled to be held in New Orleans from May 28, 2004 through May 30, 2004. The NAACP says, "It is important that the news is spread that not all of the citizens of New Orleans are bigoted and full of hatred based on race, ethnicity and religion."

Also, a united front of Workers, Africans Americans, and immigrants unite are planning on Shutting down David Duke with a call to " RUN DUKE AND HIS NAZI GANG OUT OF NEW ORLEANS!!" There will be a rally at white supremacist monument Sunday morning, May 30 to run the nazi’s out of town (called the “liberty monument” by the KKKers. Is located behind Canal place ) and a mobilization to shut down Duke “homecoming” at local hotel (location TBA).
