Stop CAFTAProtests and Forums Planned for CAFTA Negotiations
From July 28th to August 1st, trade delegates will be meeting in New Orleans to continue negotiating their CAFTA agenda in secret without any form of public consultation. CAFTA, the Central American Free Trade Agreements, is a proposed commercial pact between the United States and five countries in Central America that is modeled after NAFTA.

Concerned activists and fair trade groups in New Orleans are organizing a series of protests and educational events to call attention to the negative impact CAFTA will have here and abroad. New Orleans Indymedia will have breaking news during the march on Saturday July 26, and we encourage others to post their stories, photos, audio, and video.
